Barbara Sentell Johnson, 81

Barbara Sentell Johnson, 81, of Hendersonville died peacefully Thursday, March 13, 2014, at her residence at Lake Pointe Landing after a period of declining health.

She was born in Henderson County on Nov. 16, 1932, to the late Samuel E and Juno Israel Sentell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Byers Johnson; infant daughter, Chandra L. Drake; and her sister, Camill Sentell Brown.

Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Henderson County; she was a graduate of Hendersonville High School. She was an honorary member of the 1616 Elks Lodge in Hendersonville where she had a loving extended family. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl D. Isleib and her husband, Jeffery C. Isleib, Tammi D. Neill and her husband, Roy Neill; grandson, Preston Drake English all of Hendersonville; and many friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with the Rev. Timothy Hoyt and family friend, Scott Larned officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

The family would like to thank Dr. James J. Caserio and staff, Dr. Michael C. Jones, and the staff of Lake Pointe Landing for there care and support.
