Roy Timothy Baldwin, 54

Roy Timothy Baldwin, 54, of Fletcher passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at his residence.

He was born April 12, 1959, in Asheville. He was preceded in death by his father, John Roy Baldwin Jr. and his brother, David Neil Baldwin.

Tim attended West Henderson High School and Blue Ridge Technical Institute. He spent most of his career in the family owned and operated trucking business, driving and maintaining cross country tractors and trailers. He was an accomplished mechanic, machinist, and carpenter and was loved by everyone.

He is survived by mother and step-father, Bunny and Bob Burke of Maiden; sister, Debbie Metz and husband Bill of Newton; brother, Mickey Baldwin and wife Karen of Arden; sister, Joy Spencer and husband Ray of Etowah; three nephews, Rick and Jamie Corn and Jeremy Spencer; four nieces, Cassie Corn, Samantha Metz, Vanessa Bravo, and Misty Vanover; 15 great nephews and nieces; and his four devoted aunts, Dorothy Edwards of Clemson, S.C., Frances Hoots of Fletcher, Bobbie Camby of Fairview, and Helen Edmonds of Hampton, Ga.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Patty's Chapel Cemetery, Fletcher, with Pastor Charles Ferguson officiating.
