Riddle kicking off campaign with Super Bowl party

Andrew Riddle will kick off his campaign for a seat on the Henderson County Board of Commissioners with a Super Bowl party and fundraiser at Moe's Original Bar B Que downtown on Feb. 2.

"I invite you, your kids and all your friends to my 'Campaign for Commissioner Kickoff,'" Riddle said in an online invitation sent to 137 people. "Free wings!"
Among the 26 people who had accepted Riddle's "evite" on line were Commissioner Grady Hawkins and his wife, Doris.
"Donations for the campaign will be appreciated!" he said.
Riddle, a building contractor who lives in Flat Rock, plans to run for the District 1 seat currently held by Commissioner Michael Edney. Edney said on Wednesday he expects to announce a decision soon on whether he will run for re-election. Also up for re-election are Larry Young and Tommy Thompson.
