The Henderson County Board of Commissioners reappointed two members to the Recreation Advisory Board and in a split vote appointed a new board member to replace Gary Eblen, who is going off the board.
Chairman Charlie Messer thanked Eblen for his many years of service on the Recreation Advisory Board. He asked not to be reappointed.
Reappointed in a unanimous vote were Boyce Laughter and Terry Maybin. Appointed in Eblen's place was Elizabeth Willson Moss, who is director of Community Affairs and Outreach for Pardee Hospital. Commissioners Charlie Messer, Tommy Thompson and Michael Edney voted for Moss. Commissioners Grady Hawkins and Larry Young voted for Daniel Nicholas Mintz.
