Justice closes campaign account

FLETCHER — Dennis Justice, the unsuccessful candidate for District 2 of the Henderson County Board of Commissioners, closed his campaign account after reporting that he raised $1,013.

Contributions included $249.96 from individuals giving less than $50 and $763 in higher contributions.
Among the candidates for the Board of Commissioners, Justice was the most vocal opponent of the $28 million joint health care campus being planned on the county line in Fletcher by Pardee and Mission hospitals.
Justice reported that he gave his campaign $263 and received a donation of $500 on April 18 from Susan Bunch, the wife of Park Ridge Health CEO Jimm Bunch. Park Ridge, which opposes the joint venture by two of its competitors, has told state health care facilities regulators that the medical campus is unneeded and duplicative.
