Tea Party giving away tickets to anti-Obama movie

Henderson County Tea Party members hope to convert undecided voters into Romney voters by giving away free tickets to an anti-Obama movie opening today at Epic Theaters.

The Henderson County Tea Party is giving away 100 free tickets to the 5:30 showing this afternoon of Dinesh D'Souza's "2016: Obama's America."

"This movie is not about bashing Obama, but will educate people about Obama's upbringing and mentoring in Indonesia, Kenya and the US that became the basis for his blueprint for America," Tea Party president Ron Kauffman said.

The tickets are intended primarily for younger voters, Independents, undecided voters and Democrats who wish to know more about Obama's upbringing and the basis of his philosophy as president.

To receive one of the 100 free tickets, you must show up Friday at 4:30 p.m. outside the Epic Theater. No proof of affiliation is required, but the Tea Party asks that you affirm that you are of voting age and meet the criteria as an Independent, undecided or Democrat to get a free ticket.

"The Henderson County TEA Party believes that a well-informed electorate is better equipped to make intelligent decisions at the polls in November, and this election may be the most important of our lifetime," Kauffman said in a statement. "We know people want to learn more about Mr. Obama, and this movie will provide an excellent explanation of our president's early days and upbringing. It will provide those who see it with a great deal of information and insight into President Obama's philosophy for governing and his vision as to where he wants to take America."
