Round 2: Snow covers roads, closes school

Driver made their way up Asheville Highway from Five Points early Tuesday.

For the second Tuesday in a row, the area is covered with a blanket of snow. Schools are closed today and heavier than expected snowfall had dropped more than 2 inches of snow in Hendersonville, assuring another day of closings, schedule disruptions and calls for snowplows.

The forecast calls for snow mainly before 10 this morning with a high of 33. Wednesday brings a chance of snow but a warmup to 40 degrees could mean we get rain instead. Then there's an 80 percent chance of snow on Wednesday night and the possibility of 3-5 inches. The chance of snow diminishes Thursday morning and the high should reach 38. Friday is expected to be partly sunny with a high of 38. Although fluffier than last week's sleet and snow mix, the new snow on Tuesday covered roads and had snowplows at work again.
