Michelle Reynolds, administrative director of support services and accreditation, has been honored as Leader of the Quarter, UNC Health Pardee announced.
A 34-year veteran of the hospital, Reynolds oversees the daily operations and functions of several departments including engineering, environmental services, medical equipment, nutrition services, safety and emergency management, security, valet services and accreditation for the hospital.
“I am fortunate to work with people in different specialties with unique knowledge and skills,” she said. “What I love most is my relationship with people. Working alongside compassionate, dedicated people that share the same calling, in caring for others, is a cherished aspect of my job.”
Colleagues describe Reynolds as supportive and encouraging and a wonderful leader.
“Michelle’s professionalism is unwavering, her commitment absolute, and her positivity contagious,” a colleague said. “She believes in lifting up others and she exemplifies this daily. She supports her peers, celebrates our teammates, offers encouraging words, and leads by example.”
Coworkers who nominated her praised Reynolds for her leadership during Hurricane Helene.
“Michelle’s calm presence and intentional focus on the task in front of her kept us extremely organized in our response planning and execution,” one said.
The Leader of the Quarter award is given to a Pardee teammate in a position of director or higher. The recipient positively contributes to achieving the organization’s mission, vision and goals. Selected by a committee of peers, the recipient is recognized for going above and beyond regular duties to support patients, customers, peers, the organization and community.
