Last-second 3-pointer ends Eagles' storybook season

East Henderson High School's storybook season ended on Friday night when the Oak Grove Grizzlies pulled out a 75-72 victory on a last-second long-range three-pointer after East fought back from two nine-point deficits.

The undefeated No. 2 seeded Eagles went down in the second round at home after defeating Central Cabarrus on Tuesday night.  Nevertheless, the season was a historic one for East behind Coach Marquintas Jones and star player Caiden Brewer as the Eagles won its second straight Mountain 7 Conference regular season title and third straight conference tournament championship.
