Carriage rides on Main Street are one of many ways to celebrate the holidays downtown this year.
Santa Claus will make his grand entrance on Main Street in Hendersonville on Friday, Nov. 28, for the annual tree lighting at the Historic Courthouse Plaza.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with the lively sounds of Drayton & The Dreamboats. Santa is expected to arrive just before 6 p.m. to lead the countdown to the lighting of the Christmas tree at 6. Following the tree lighting, the festivities continue with visits with Santa inside the Historic Courthouse and free carriage rides provided by Carolina Horse and Carriage. Both activities will be available until 8 p.m., offering families plenty of time to enjoy the evening. Hot cocoa, hot cider and an assortment of sweet treats will be available for purchase from A Wild Moose Cafe, Black Bear Coffee and Mini Batch Bakery.
