HSO youth ensembles perform Sunday

The ensembles of the Hendersonville Symphony Youth Orchestra will holds their winter concert Sunday at Bo Thomas Auditorium on the campus of Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock at 4 p.m.

All three of the HSYO's ensembles will perform: the Youth Symphony, the Sinfonietta and the new Prelude Ensemble. Tickets for all adults are $7. Young people 18 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available only at the door, and seating is general admission. Doors open to the hall at 3:30 pm.

The Winter Concert marks the regular season debut of the HSYO's new music director and Youth Symphony conductor, John Concklin, as well as the premiere of the new Prelude Ensemble. There is still time for individuals to join "Friends of the HSYO." At the $40 level, Friends receive one season ticket to all three HSYO concerts, admission to our spring chamber music concert, and thanks in subsequent concert programs.
Concklin is a conductor and violist who most recently completed an assistantship at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Prior to that, he served as Associate Conductor and Creative Director of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra.
