LIGHTNING PHOTOS: Town celebrates tree lighting

Hendersonville celebrated the official kickoff of the holiday season Friday night with the traditional Christmas tree lighting on the courthouse square and the debut of a new tradition.

Santa Claus appeared on the balcony of the Historic Courthouse. In a fundraiser for the Heritage Museum, Santa posed for photos with kids in the Community Room upstairs.
