Commissioners honor board clerk Terry Wilson for her service

The Henderson County Board of Commissioners thanked Terry Wilson for her service as clerk to the board for the past 12 years, adopting a resolution that praised her "wealth of institutional knowledge and outstanding service" to the board, staff and citizens of the county.

A graduate of East Henderson High School, Wilson worked at the county tax collector's office from December 2000 to September 2006, when she became deputy clerk to the board. She was sworn in as clerk to the Board of Commissioners on May 4, 2009. In a resolution, commissioners expressed "their deep admiration for the experience and wisdom that Terry Wilson brought to positions that she served in with Henderson County."

Wilson, who retires on June 1, will be replaced by Denisa Lauffer, who was promoted from building permit center coordinator to clerk to the Board of Commissioners.
