A 55-year-old Hendersonville man is charged with child sexual abuse after Henderson County sheriff’s detectives pursued a tip relating to online dissemination of material related to child sexual abuse.

After receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April, detectives developed information that led to the issuance and service of a search warrant at the home of the suspect on June 1. Edward James Young, 55 of Hendersonville was arrested and charged with six counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Young was jailed in the Henderson County Detention Center under a $36,000 bond.
