Home values in Henderson County soared by 47 percent over five years, the seventh highest rate of growth in the state, a new study from financial technology company SmartAsset found.

The home value rankings were one factor in a three-part study on the counties receiving the most value for their property taxes, based on school quality, residential real estate growth and property taxes as a percentage of home value. In that measure, Henderson County ranked seventh in the state. Its school rating of 10 was highest among the top 10 counties in overall value.

The analysis measured the change in home values in each county throughout a five-year period, though the company did not describe the start and end dates of the five-year look.
