FLAT ROCK — The Flat Rock Village Council will hold a town hall meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, in the Charleston Room of the Kenmure Country Club.
This will be the fourth town hall meeting the council has hosted to help village residents become more involved with their local government, express concerns and talk with their elected leaders. Future town hall dates and locations will be announced on the village website (villageofflatrock.org) and Facebook page.
“Our earlier town halls have been helpful for council members,” Mayor Nick Weedman said in a news release. “We’ve had a chance to hear from residents on various issues, like speeding and other traffic concerns, how to allocate the American Rescue Plan funds the village has received, and other topics of interest to those attending. Meeting in the evening lets us have conversations in a more informal setting and at a time that allows those unable to come to day-time council meetings to attend.”
Each meeting opens with brief introductions by village officials and then an extended time for attendees to provide input and ask questions on topics that are important to them. For more information, please contact the Village of Flat Rock at 828-697-8100.
