Local man charged with dealing coke, pot at Sixth Avenue residence

Detectives with the Henderson County Drug Task Force charged a 44-year-old Hendersonville man with multiple drug trafficking felonies after an investigation into the alleged sale and distribution of controlled substances at 819 Sixth Avenue West.

Based on the investigation, deputies on Friday, Nov. 5, executed a search warrant at the address. With assistance of Hendersonville police officers and the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, detectives seized felony trafficking amounts of cocaine and marijuana, a firearm and multiple items of stolen property.

Tyrone Eugene McDaniel was arrested as a result of the search. He has been charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for the purposes of selling controlled substances and sell/deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one of them arising from a prior incident in August.

McDaniel was jailed at the Henderson County Detention Center under a $370,000 bond. Further charges may occur as this investigation continues.
