10 pounds of pot, 5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms seized in Blythe Street bust

Detectives with the Henderson County Apprehension & Criminal Enforcement (ACE) team, with assistance from North Carolina Probation & Parole, seized 10 pounds of pot, psilocybin mushrooms and cocaine on Oct. 29 after tips about suspected trafficking and a search of a home at 713 Blythe St., the sheriff's office said.

Detectives who executed a search warrant at the residence reported the seizure of:

  • 10 pounds of marijuana
  • 1 pound of marijuana resin
  • 5 pounds of psilocybin mushroom
  • 5.3 grams of cocaine
  • A gram of fentanyl
  • Various pieces of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives arrested and charged the following individuals as a result of the investigation:

  • Lindsey Renne Cauthen, felony trafficking in marijuana, 2 counts of felony possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule I controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling with a controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, misdemeanor child abuse, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, child support warrant.
  • John Patrick Deangelo Max, misdemeanor probation violation.
  • Arthur Curtis Hilliard, two counts of felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
