Local woman gets high bond on drug trafficking charges

 A 33-year-old Hendersonville woman was jailed on a $263,500 bond after being arrested on multiple drug trafficking charges, the Henderson County sheriff's office said.

The arrest resulted from a traffic stop in the Patty's Chapel community of northern Henderson County.

Whitney Brumfield is charged with two counts of trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for storage of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In a separate bust, the Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit arrested four people while assisting state probation officers in the search of a house at 39 Courtney Lee Lane in the Big Hungry area. While at the residence officers seized trafficking amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and oxycodone, the sheriff's office said.

Arrested were:

  • Damon Mobley, 44, of Hendersonville, on charges of possession of methamphetamine, trafficking, opium or heroin. He was jailed on a $81,000 bond.
  •  Haley Molly Jenkins, 25, of Hendersonville, on charges of trafficking, opium or heroin and possession of methamphetamine. Bond was set at $110,000.
  • Johnny Xavier Fowler, 21, of Flat Rock, on charges of trafficking opium or heroin andx possession with intent to distribute a schedule II controlled substance. He was jailed on a $108,000 bond.
