Citing hazardous road conditions, school goes virtual today and Friday

Henderson County schools have gone virtual for the rest of the week as road conditions remain hazardous in parts of the county.

Although main roadways have been cleared and treated, many secondary roadways and neighborhoods remain hazardous for school buses and young drivers. Additionally, tonight's forecast has temperatures predicted below freezing. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, Henderson County Public Schools will operate via Virtual Learning, today and Friday. All on-campus student activities, including athletics, are canceled. “Grab and Go” meals will be available for pickup at each middle school from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for any HCPS student or family.
