Amy Treece has been named executive director of the Pardee Hospital Foundation, the foundation's Board of Directors announced. Treece, who has served interim executive director since June, will step into the permanent post immediately.
The Pardee Hospital Foundation exists to educate and inspire the community to support Pardee UNC Health Care. From its signature annual events to its critical initiatives and programs including Women Helping Women (WHW) and the Pardee Cancer Center capital campaign, the Foundation provides financial sustainability to a nonprofit health system devoted to improving the lives and health outcomes of its community.
Treece has served on the WHW committee for more than 10 years and was co-chair for three of those years. This year, the WHW program is celebrating 25 years of supporting countless women in Henderson County through health care challenges. To date, the program has raised more than $2 million, helping women in the community learn about the importance of early detection and receiving treatment and in turn, being able to go on to live healthy lives.
Before she joined the foundation, Treece served as Pardee’s director of community and government relations officer. She also served as a Foundation Board member for five years, holding the roles of vice president of development, vice president of governance and board chair.
“We all know Amy to be an ardent supporter and champion of the Foundation, Pardee and our community,” said Foundation Chair Marilyn Gordon. “Amy’s deep commitment to our community and Pardee make her an excellent choice to lead our organization.”
Pardee Hospital Foundation was approved as a non-profit Foundation in January 1996. Since its inception, the Foundation has generated more than $30 million in pledges and cash gifts for Pardee services.
