United Airlines adds daily AVL-DEN flights

Air travelers can now book non-stop flights from Asheville Regional Airport on United Airlines to Denver International Airport for travel starting on or after Sept. 29. The flight will operate on an Embraer 175 aircraft.

"Nonstop to Denver on United is an incredible addition to the route map at AVL," said Lew Bleiweis, AVL's president and CEO. "Denver is a significant hub for United, and daily service will not only provide great access to and from Denver and Colorado but will also provide easy connections to and from western locations. We thank our partners at United for their continued investment in WNC. This is a huge win for us all."

The addition is a result of United’s ambitious United Next plan and was part of United's larger announcement of 35 new flights, a dozen new gates and three new clubs in Denver.

“Denver is one of the fastest growing cities in the country and as the Mile High City’s most flown airline, it’s essential that we maintain the most modern infrastructure and fleet to support our local employees and customers and deliver a great experience,” United CEO Scott Kirby said. “Our expansion in Denver will further enable us to connect our customers to destinations across the globe and revitalize our presence at the airport with modern, customer friendly offerings.”

Flights will operate daily following the initial schedule:

  • DEN to AVL: Departs DEN at 10:15 a.m. and arrives at AVL at 3:13 p.m.
  • AVL to DEN: Departs AVL at 4:30 p.m. and arrives at DEN at 6:03 p.m.
