Three men were jailed Thursday evening on charges they attempted to break into a business in Mills River.
County sheriff’s deputies arrested Patrick Helton, Colin Wood and Ronnie McCraw after responding to the business in the early morning hours on Wednesday, according to a press release from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department,
Two individuals attempted to break and enter the business but fled the scene when a delivery driver arrived. The property crimes unit, along with the patrol division edward squad, quickly responded and began investigating.
Within hours, deputies identified a suspect vehicle connected to the incident. The vehicle was located and stopped, leading to the arrest of Helton, Wood and McCraw.
All three were charged with felony attempt to break and enter a building and felony conspiracy. They remained in jail on the charges on Thursday.
