Five weeks after it initiated an internal investigation into one or more employees, the city of Hendersonville has completed the probe "and has taken appropriate action in accordance with the personnel policy," the city announced Friday in a one-sentence news release.
The city of Hendersonville was investigating one or more employees of its public works department in late October, City Manager John Connet said on Oct. 31.
“There’s been no terminations,” he told the Lightning at the time. “We’re in the middle of an internal investigation regarding a concern that was relayed to us regarding the public works department. … It just popped up the last couple of days, and really all I can tell you at this point is we are investigating some concerns."
Asked whether the inquiry was an human resources or police matter, Connet responded that it was HR.
