SLIDESHOW: Derby event supports Mainstay

Guests at fundraisers for Mainstay showed off their hats.

LAKE SUMMIT — Friends and supporters slogged through the rain to Camp Mondamin for the first Derby Day to support Mainstay.

The Kentucky Derby event had been an annual fundraiser for the African Medical Mission but when that mission dissolved Mainstay supporters converted it into a fundraiser for Mainstay.

Participants placed bets on the horse race, enjoyed a cocktail hour and made bids in a silent auction and live auction. Robert Danos, a Mainstay board member, conducted the auction.
