Editor Bill Moss delivers the scoop on a new investigation into Gudrun Linda Jean Casper-Leinenkugel, formerly known as Linda Jean Casper, who is charged with two poison-murders in Henderson County. Detectives in Sawyer County, Wisconsin, are investigating the death of Casper-Leinenkugel's husband of two months, Elroy Lund Jr., who died on May 10, 2017, two months after he and Linda Casper, as she is known in the small Wisconsin town, married.

Associate Editor Amy B. McCraw has coverage of the homecoming last Tuesday and funeral service Saturday for Luther Leru Rhodes, the Marine PFC who died fighting the Japanese at Guadalcanal on Oct. 7, 1942, and was listed as MIA until a special military unit identified his remains last year.
