AAUW program focuses on life transitions

AAUW, formerly the American Association of University Women, invites the public to its monthly meeting Thursday, April 9, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1245 Sixth Ave. W. The theme is life transitions.

Featured speaker Marcia Bromberg, who has more than 25 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit administration and finance, will discuss the differences between life changes and life transitions — movements from one stage of life to another that may be planned or only recognized in retrospect. Bromberg is currently board treasurer of MANNA Foodbank.

The meeting begins at noon with lunch and social time. Attendees should bring a bag lunch; dessert will be provided. Branch announcements and the program run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The meeting is in Room 221; parking is available in the Blythe Street lot. Reserve a spot by emailing ssmreb@bellsouth.net.

AAUW is the nation’s leading voice for equity and education for women and girls. For more information, visit hendersonville-nc.aauw.net.
