City leaders hosting ‘Council Conversations’

Council Member Melinda Lowrance, Mayor Barbara Volk, Council Member Lyndsey Simpson, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Hensley, and Council Member Gina Baxter will host ‘Council Conversations’ in the coming weeks.

Hendersonville City Council members are inviting constituents to join them at a series of “Council Conversations” — informal gatherings allowing the public to interact by asking questions, expressing concerns and working together toward solutions.

Hosted by an individual member of City Council, each meeting will last about an hour. City staff members will also be on hand to answer questions and provide information on city services and programs. All gatherings are at 6 p.m.

Council Conversations are scheduled for the following dates and locations:  

  • Monday, Aug. 31, Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County, 1304 Ashe St., hosted by council member Melinda Lowrance.
  • Monday, Sept. 14, Henderson County Chamber of Commerce, 204 Kanuga Road, hosted by council member Gina Baxter. 
  • Monday, Sept. 21, Blue Ridge Community College Health Sciences Center, 805 6th Ave. West, hosted by Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Hensley. 
  • Monday, Sept. 28, Highland Apartments , 382 Red Bud Circle, hosted by council member Lyndsey Simpson. 
  • Monday, Oct. 5, Summit Apartments , 47 Hill Branch Road, Flat Rock, hosted by Mayor Barbara Volk.
