People interested in getting a passport in Henderson County now have the option of visiting the county courthouse to have their applications processed.

County officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday to open the new office in the Henderson County Courthouse on Grove Street. The office is located in suite 54 on the ground floor of the building.
Henderson County Register of Deeds William Lee King said he is happy the new passport office is available to help the citizens of Henderson County. The office should also help “take the load off” the post office in Hendersonville where passports are also obtained.
Office hours for the new passport office are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The passport office in the courthouse will process new applications as well help with renewals.
