Henderson County has high number of poor bridges

Henderson County has a high number of deficient and obsolete bridges, a newspaper report said.

A study by the Charlotte Observer showed that more than 35 percent of the county's bridges are deficient, meaning that they need significant maintenance or need to be replaced, or obsolete, meaning they're too small for the traffic they carry.
The newspaper's investigation showed that Henderson County had 29 structurally deficient bridges. Many are on less traveled roads and have posted weight restrictions. Among the heavily bridges in need of repair or replacement are the Clear Creek bridge on I-26 and the two French Broad River bridges on N.C. 191. Here's a link: Bridges
