Community Foundation taps new directors

The Community Foundation of Henderson County recently elected officers for 2013-14 and new members of its governing board.

New members of the Board of Directors are Cindy Causby, Financial Advisor/Advocate at C&C Senior Services; Tom Darnall, eetired from Bank of America; Gary Eblen, community outreach at Diamond Brand Outdoors; and Chuck Edwards, owner and president of C. Edwards Group Inc. owner of McDonald's restaurants in Hendersonville, Brevard and Canton. They join 14 other directors who guide the work of the Community Foundation to further the mission of helping people who care make lasting contributions to causes that matter.

The elected officers for the Community Foundation for fiscal year 2013-2014 are Randy Romeo, chair; John Bell, vice-chair; Steve Greene, treasurer; Lauretta Sthreshley, secretary; David Marshall, assistant treasurer; and Jana Johnson-Humleker, past chairperson.
The Community Foundation thanked two directors whose board service ended on June 30, George Bond and Stan Shelley.
