Rain chance back up to 60%

The chance of showers and thunderstorms climbs to 60 percent through Monday as the North Carolina Apple Festival brings thousands of visitors to downtown Hendersonville.

A brief respite from daily showers ended Thursday when rain returned, and forecasters called for a good chance of thunderstorms after mid-morning with highs around 80 all three days. Forecasters predicted a tenth to quarter inch of rain from the showers each day with higher amounts in thunderstorms.
