Reidsville eliminates Polk County

Reidsville High School, which routed Hendersonville High School last week 50-20 in a first round playoff game, defeated Polk County 27-19 on Friday, eliminating the 9-3 Wolverines in the state 2-A playoffs. Reidsville, a longtime football power, pulled away in the second half after the two teams ended the half in a 13-13 tie.
