Charge filed after toddlers, baby left alone

Daniel Lind

Deputies from the Henderson County Sheriff's Office charged a 43-year-old local man with neglect after he allegedly left two toddlers and a baby alone for more than four hours.

Deputies charged Daniel A. Lind, of 58 Beehive View Lane in Hendersonville, with three counts of misdemeanor child neglect.

Deputies received information that three little children were left unattended at the residence and after responding to the Beehive View Lane house and finding three children, ages 3, 17 months, and seven months, alone inside the residence.

The investigation revealed the children had been left unattended at least 4 1/2 hours. Deputies located the children's mother, who was working at a local business and thought the children were home with their father.

Lind was arrested later in the evening after deputies discovered him walking near Ingles on US 64E. Henderson County DSS was contacted to evaluate and assess the incident. Lind is currently jailed in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $3,000 secured bond.
