Arrest warrants: SRO's sexting started before sexual relations

The school resource officer accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student sent pictures of his anatomy to the teenager 16 times over three months, according to arrest warrants filed in Henderson County court.

Deputy Daniel Lindsey, 27, of Mountain Home, faces three charges of having intercourse with the girl, a student at Balfour Education Center, in October and December of last year. He was arrested on the charges on Jan. 18 and fired the same day.
On Jan. 23, Henderson County detectives added 15 new charges of disseminating material harmful to a minor. The charges stem from text messages that Lindsey allegedly sent the teenager.
The alleged text photos started on Friday, Oct. 11, three days before the first of three sexual offenses with the girl for which Lindsey is charged. He is charged in separate warrants with sending her pictures of a "nude penis" five different times on that Friday.
Detectives charged Lindsey with 14 misdemeanor counts involving the still photos and one felony count for sending her by cell phone text "an obscene motion picture, a video of him masturbating."
Sheriff Charlie McDonald said last week that he is reviewing the processes for supervision of school resource officers
Arrest warrants charged that Lindsey had intercourse with a female who was a student at Balfour two times in October and once in December.
Lindsey was arrested on the new charges last Thursday night jailed initially on a $1.35 million bond. The bond was reduced after a courting hearing the next day. He was released on bond on Jan. 24.
