'Our State' magazine features local attractions

The Trolley Company and Hendersonville Curb Market will be featured in the June issue of Our State magazine.

The magazine that covers North Carolina's attractions, food and culture will feature the Trolley Company's Historic Hendersonville Tour and the Curb Market's Ole Timey Day.

"The Henderson County Curb Market being featured in Our State magazine during our 90th year is a crowning moment for us," Debra Sawyer of the Curb Market said in a news release. "Our community of farmers, bakers, and craftspeople look forward to celebrating our anniversary with the readership of Our State Magazine and all of Henderson County."

Tourism Development Authority Executive Director Beth Carden added: "The Henderson County Visitors Center continues to promote and strengthen the county's heritage. The Curb Market and The Historic Tour are two important assets to tourism growth. Many visitors continue to travel to discover historic places during their leisure time."

The magazine will also feature the Historic Hendersonville Tour, now in its fourth year. Originally three hours, the tour has been trimmed to accommodate the fast-paced schedules of many tourists. Tours will be offered on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. through the end of October with the exception of Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. Tours  depart from the Visitor's Center on South Main Street.

"The Historic Tour has been a labor of love with a lot of ups and downs but I am glad we have finally arrived at the point where the tour can hold its own with other successful tours in the state," Trolley Company owner Eva Ritchey said in a statement.
