City invites comment on Berkeley Park plans

The city of Hendersonville is inviting the public to comment on proposed Berkeley Mills Park improvements as part of an application for a North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund grant.
A public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the City Operations Center, 305 Williams Street. City officials are encouraging participation in the hearing because the PARTF fund considers public support in evaluating grant applications.
The city is seeking funding for a destination playground, picnic areas and walking trails as shown in the first phase of the Berkeley Mills Park Master Plan. To view the master plan visit www.cityofhendersonville.org.
