Museum hosts birthday party for George Jones

The Henderson County Heritage Museum will host a drop-in celebration at the Historic Courthouse from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday honoring George A. Jones on his 95th birthday. The public is invited.

Museum Chair Carolyn Justus will welcome everyone, Tom Orr will give a short talk honoring Dr. Jones and remembering his role in saving the historic building as well as other achievements and County Commissioner Michael Edney will make a tribute to the longtime Baptist minister, historian and community leader.
