Contractors unite to repair homes

The Henderson-Transylvania Home Builders Association is celebrating 10 years of TEAM Day — Together Everyone Achieves More — as it partners with Housing Assistance Corporation to repair homes this month.
Local builders, tradesmen and suppliers contribute labor, expertise and materials for health and safety repairs that are beyond the everyday scope of the Housing Assistance Home Repair program. Community volunteers work alongside, helping to get the job done. Recipients of the repairs are unable to make the repairs on their own, but with help, can keep their homes livable.
Contributing businesses and groups that help make the effort possible include Construction Innovators of North Carolina, Creech Solutions for Construction, First Restoration Services, Top Choice Trim and Tile, John Balken Jr. Roofing, Women Roofers of Rutherford County, ProSource, Hajoca, ProBuild, St. James Carpenter’s Club, Henderson County and Griffin Waste Services, among others.
Volunteers are welcome and everyone can contribute. Contributions can be made at Housing Assistance Corporation, 602 Kanuga Road, Hendersonville, or http://housing-assistance.com/donations. Volunteers can sign up by calling 692-4744 Ext. 110 or visiting http://housing-assistance.com
