Reindeer Run raises money for NHHS scholarship

Some 85 runners tolerated rain on a warm Christmas Eve morning for the second annual Reindeer Run to support the Jones Family Scholarship through the Henderson County Education Foundation.

The event raised more than $1,250 for the fund, which funds college scholarships for North Henderson High School seniors who show leadership qualities and a willingness to give back and mentor future scholarship recipients. A 2002 graduate of North Henderson High School, Ryan Jones started the fund three years ago.
