Felons get prison time

A Hendersonville man was sentenced to nine years and nine months in prison after his conviction in Henderson County Superior Court on felony charges of selling and delivering illegal narcotics, District Attorney Greg Newman said.

Superior Court Judge Mark Powell sentenced Timothy Waters, of 714 Woodcock Street, after his conviction oj the charges.

In other dispositions:

  • Robert Fore of 637 Halsbury Avenue, Hendersonville, was sentenced to a prison term of 42 months for the charge of Attempted First Degree Burglary.
  • Clarence Cantrell of 45 Old Hill Home Place, East Flat Rock, was sentenced to prison for 27 months for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
  • Andreas Saucedo of 21 Regina Drive, Fletcher, was sentenced to prison for 21 months for Fleeing to Elude an Officer, Reckless Driving, and Attempted Breaking and Entering.
  • Elisa Serna of 226 Shorty Collins Drive, Flat Rock, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for Possession of Methamphetamine.
  • Armando Gonzalez of 145 Sugar Street, Hendersonville, was sentenced to 17 months in prison for Felony Hit and Run and an additional 75 days for a DWI.
  • Michael Hoots of 59 Metcalf Hill Lane, Mill Spring, was sentenced to 81 months for Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Goods and Obtaining Property by a False Pretense.

The next trial term of Superior Court in Henderson County begins Monday. The grand jury for Henderson County will also convene on Monday with Judge Bradley B. Letts presiding over a two-week term.
