Healing Place, Mainstay merge

Staff members braved the rainy weather Friday morning to reveal the new name of the merger of crisis nonprofits Mainstay and The Healing Place.

The Healing Place and Mainstay have combined to form one organization.

This morning, on the steps of the Historic County Courthouse, the organization revealed their new name, Safelight.
As Safelight, they will continue to be Henderson County’s provider of domestic violence sexual assault and child abuse services. Their purpose will be two-fold: To provide evidence based crisis and recovery services to victims of child abuse sexual assault and domestic violence and to proactively engage this community to reduce the rates of these crimes, encourage accountability, and serve as caring resource to those who are impacted by these crimes.
