Snow makeup days extend school year

The Henderson County traditional calendar students lost Good Friday and had their school year extended by three days to make up the four days lost because of the Jan. 21 snowstorm.

The school system announced the adjustments to the 2015-2016 student calendars to make up for the missed days from Friday, Jan. 22, through Wednesday, Jan. 27.
The following student days have been added to calendars:

  • Traditional school calendar: Friday, March 25; Wednesday, June 8; Thursday, June 9; and Friday, June 10.
  • Flex school calendar: Monday, March 14 Wednesday, March 16 Thursday, March 17 Friday, March 18.
  • Early college calendar" Friday, March 4 Friday, March 25 Monday, May 23 Tuesday, May 24

Revised calendars with the added student days can be found on the Henderson County Public Schools website.
