United Way celebrates 2015 campaign

United Way donors and volunteers show the total raised.

United Way campaign workers, board members, staff and donors celebrated a successful 2015 campaign on Monday by toasting the hardest working fundraisers and most generous contributors.

The 2015 campaign chairs, Mark Warwick and Paige Posey, and United Way Director Denise Long handed out awards and thanked companies large and small for their donations and dedication. They presented awards for the biggest gains in giving, largest corporate donation, hardest working volunteers and other achievements in the campaign, which raised $1,809,273.45, beating the 2014 total by $59,000.

Proceeds from the 2015 campaign will advance United Way’s work in the areas of education, income and health in Henderson County and support basic needs and crisis services in the county.
