The city of Hendersonville will repave a number of streets over the next seven weeks.The repaving work will vary depending on what's needed. Some streets will get a new layer of blacktop while others will be milled down several inches so that a new layer of tar and gravel can be applied followed by fresh paving. Crews will also do some curb and gutter repair where needed.
Paving contractor Southeastern Asphalt will contact residents with details as the work progresses.
Streets or street sections to be paved are:
• New Village Drive from N.C. 191 to cul de sac.
• Sandburg from New Village to cul de sac.
• N. Woodfield from Woodfield to cul de sac.
• Woodfield from New Village to cul de sac.
• St. John's Way from New Village to cul de sac.
• Buncombe from Fifth to Sixth Avenue.
• Alley between Fleming and Justice.
• Fleming between Fourth and Fifth avenues.
• Fleming between Fifth and Sixth avenues.
• Kensington from Orleans to N.C. 191
• Exeter from Hampton to cul de sac.
• Somerset from Kingsbury to Dartmouth.
• Davis from Yarborough to Kanuga.
• Ashe from Seventh Avenue to Woodcock.
• Coral off Ewbank.
• A couple of sections of Dermid Circle off Duncan Hill.
• Seventh Avenue from Boxcar to Ashe.
• Balsam from Ogdon to Narva.
• Allen from King to Grove.
• Cox from Armstrong to Wells.
