Charges brought for stolen property, heroin, meth

Three men were charged with felonies after Henderson County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of suspicious activity at 77 Albert Drive in the Dana community on Thursday.


Members of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit responding to the Albert Drive residence  observed a vehicle leaving the house as they arrived. Through an investigation, they determined that it was stolen. In addition, a second vehicle and a trailer observed at the address were also determined to be stolen. Additional detectives responded to assist, and a search warrant was completed at the residence. During the search deputies found three stolen vehicles, a stolen enclosed trailer, stolen landscaping equipment, a stolen registration plate, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, a schedule III-controlled substance, a firearm, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
 
Warren Rosslyn Newell, 52, of 77 Albert Dr., Flat Rock, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver schedule III controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for the use of a controlled substance and chop shop activity, all felonies, and misdemeanor counts of simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Newell remains in the Henderson County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
 
Brian Charles Garner, 33 of Canton, was arrested on several felony warrants out of Haywood County. In addition, he was charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and felony possession of methamphetamine. Garner was jailed under a $87,000 bond.
Timothy Daniel Frizzell, 33, also of the Albert Drive residence, was charged with felony possession of stolen goods. Frizzell was jailed under a $10,000 bond.
 
More charges are expected to be filed as the investigation continues.
