The Fireside Collective headlines tonight's Rhythm & Brews show.
The popular Asheville band Tellico opens and the progressive folk band Fireside Collective is the headliner at tonight's Rhythm & Brews concert in downtown Hendersonville.
Playing a style known as "Appalachiacana," Tellico delivers vivid original storytelling, vibrant musicianship and intelligent arrangements, creating an innovative sound that redefines what today’s Southern Appalachian music can be. Instead of modernizing tradition, Tellico takes it deeper, effortlessly weaving meaningful, imaginative songwriting with intelligent arrangements.
Taking the stage at 7:30, is Asheville-based Fireside Collective. Playing folk music heavily influenced by American roots, the band features strong musicianship, colorful harmonies and contemporary original music. The Collective seeks to bridge the gaps between early folk music, the urban folk revival and the current folk renaissance happening today.
The free outdoor concert series offers local foods, wines, craft beer and hard ciders and the Hands On! Children’s Museum booth.
