United Way kicks off campaign Friday at SAB

The Super '60s band will play at the United Way campaign kickoff.

The Super '60s band will perform at the United Way’s Campaign Kickoff Concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Southern Appalachian Brewery.

Tickets to the concert are $8 and can be purchased at the brewery gate starting at 6 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will benefit United Way. Baires Food Truck will be on site with Argentinian food. The first 50 attendees will receive a free T-shirt.
“Our local United Way has a longstanding history of positively impacting the lives of those in our community who deserve a better quality of life,” campaign Co-Chair Donnie Parks said. “Supporting our United Way helps continue a legacy that gives hope and opportunity to so many in our community.”
The annual campaign raises funds through workplace campaigns and community donations to improve education, financial stability, health, and basic needs and supports 39 programs at 19 agencies in Henderson County.
United Way Executive Director Denise Cumbee Long thanked Southern Appalachian Brewery for hosting the event and thanked sponsors AdventHealth, Wilsonart, Current powered by GE, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Morrow Insurance Agency, Cooper Construction Co., Goldsmith Molis & Gray, OpSource Staffing and Southern Alarm & Security.
