LIGHTNING PHOTOS: Farm City Day

Little kids, older retirees and many folks in between turned out Saturday for the annual Farm City Day, a celebration of Henderson County's agricultural heritage.

Activities included a petting zoo, apple sling, urban, rural and educational displays, nonprofits, antique and modern farm equipment, live music, food and concessions and crafters selling their wares. Hosted by Henderson County Parks & Rec and the NC Cooperative Extension Henderson County Office, the event also included the Farm City Day Farmer of the Year presentation.
