Four charged with multiple felonies in home invasion

Henderson County sheriff’s detectives charged four people with multiple drug and robbery crimes after receiving a tip about a home invasion from a felon city police had arrested.

 

Officers with the major crimes unit of the sheriff's office received information about an unreported home invasion that occurred on Nov. 17. The Hendersonville Police Department had arrested a Marshall man, Robert Cordell Garrett, for possession of a stolen firearm and possession of firearm by a felon and he shared information about a home invasion.

When he met with detectives at the Henderson County jail, Garrett provided specific information about the location, other people involved and items taken. A short time later a report was filed at the sheriff’s office regarding a home invasion. The information Garrett gave matched the report of the theft.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for a home at 33 Simple Lane, Flat Rock. Backed by the sheriff's office SWAT team, officers executed the search warrant at 4:56 p.m. Nov. 18. The search revealed items directly related to the home invasion, other property taken during the crime and a large quantity of marijuana.

As a result, three people, all of 33 Simple Lane, in addition to Garrett, were charged with multiple felonies.

Nevada Sanchez Gonzalez, 21, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, safecracking, conspiracy to commit safecracking, two counts of second-degree kidnapping. He is being held an a $206,000 secured in the Henderson County Detention Facility.

Crystal Lynn Lopez, 45, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, safecracking, conspiracy to commit safecracking, two counts of second-degree kidnapping. she is being held in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $192,000 secured bond.

Karisa Tess Jones, 20, was charged with possession of marijuana up to a half ounce and was released on a $100 bond.

Garrett, 26, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, safecracking, conspiracy to commit safecracking and two counts of second-degree kidnapping.
